Hi, Jennifer! Thanks for leading this discussion...I am a Moms in Touch prayer leader and have been praying in Moms in Touch since 2000.

Being in a prayer group has taught me how amazing it can be to hear God speak directly to my heart through the prayers of another mom. I have learned to pray short prayers and LISTEN.

I conduct my group time by first of all preparing ahead of time to lead in the Spirit. As the leader, I feel that it is very important for me to spend some time alone with the Lord before my prayer team members arrive. I've done it before where I just enter prayer at the same time the group starts up, but I feel that I lead better when I have spent a good 1/2 hour in praise and worship before the others arrive. So it doesn't work for me to just go into it unprepared or not being "praised up."

That's my two cents' worth!

Love to you all!

I recently tried to hold a season of prayer at my church and no one came. It was for the wednesday the 10th. Needless to say I am disapointed and am struggling with not wanting to try again. I know I must. God is really working on me in this. Sience I came to this new Church it is smaller and not as active in prayer as my other one was. My husband now comes every Sunday with me and that is so important to me and to God. It is just hard for me. Im holding on to my Bible Study group and we pray but it is not filling the void I have for prayer. I fell like a failure, But I know that is not true. Thanks for listening.
Jennifer I love you and this sight. In His Love, Elly.

Dear Jennifer,
The simple 4 steps of prayer format of Moms In Touch has given me a foundation for meeting the heart of God with sisters in Christ. Especially meaningful is the value I've learned in praying Scripture. This is where I have learned how to listen for God's heart in order to pray His will into the lives of my children.

God has answered my prayer in a mighty way. I am still trying to get a prayer group atarted at my Church but useing a new strategy,
I have started a "Celebrate Life Mission Group" and it is wonderful.
Following Gods leading I am introducing "Prayer Partners" through praying for the Missionaries Birthdays...now this seems to have worked...I am doing the "Prayer Calendar" and I am introducing them to different ways of praying together. Sisters, never give up just "keep praying".
Surrender to God and let Him guide you and He will show You the way.
God allowed me to have my "pity party" now I am letting go of the me's and the I's, letting go and letting God. It's all about Him.
The power of prayer is awesome...
To God all glory be given...In His Love, Elly.
