The Two Adams (Life Changing Power in the Blood of Christ)

If you are doing the study The Life Changing Power in the Blood of Christ... new thought.

I'm reading The Climax of the Covenant by NT Wright. I came across a thought that enhanced Week 3 in the study, the week entitled The Overcoming Life. In the section showing the contrasts between the two Adams, beginning on page 56. Taking off on my own direction, sparked by a thought from NT Wright on a completely different topic ...

The first adam grasped for equality with God and created the need for a Savior. The Last Adam relinquished equality with God willingly to accomplish the task of salvation. (Phil 2:6-8) If you are not familiar with the study, please do not take this statement out of context. I am NOT saying that Jesus was not fully God when He was also fully man.

Phil 2:6-8
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man,he humbled himselfand became obedient to death — even death on a cross! (NIV)

Awesome thought, it never ceases to amaze me when I am reminded of all that Jesus did in His time here with us. He is All God and All Man.
